Century Baptist Church Orphan Ministry

The greater Body of Christ worldwide and our local church in our community are called to extend care and compassion to those who are the most vulnerable in our world.  James 1:27 says, "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."  James was well aware of the mandate of Jesus to love God with everything we are and have and to love our neighbor as ourselves.  In caring for orphans we are seeking to live out that mandate in very practical ways.  Our prayer is that this ministry will be beneficial to orphans and other children at risk in our local community, our region, our nation and our world.

Our Mission:

This ministry exists to encourage the body of Christ at Century Baptist Church to care for orphans.

Our Values:

  • All human life is valuable to God.

  • It is important to bring children into Christian families so they can hear the gospel and hopefully make a personal decision to follow Christ.

  • We need to obey God’s command to care for orphans.

  • God has adopted us.

  • We give generously to others because God has blessed us.

  • We are called to encourage others.

Adoption:  The Century Baptist Orphan Ministry is also committed to seeing children placed in forever families.  We desire to encourage couples and families to consider domestic or international adoptions.  To assist in that effort, resources have been allocated for this purpose.  If anyone would like to download a copy of the adoption assistance application they may do so by clicking HERE.
